Luke Herlache Profile
My educational and professional journey is very much a local one. I grew up and went to school in Green Bay, graduating from East High School in 2000. St. Norbert College was my home for four years while I studied Elementary Education. Student-teaching at Heritage Elementary allowed me to see how wonderful USDD is as a school district. I was fortunate enough to get hired at Heritage as a 3rd grade teacher and taught eight years in that role. I then served two years as the Dean of Students and Learning Support Teacher. During that time, I discovered my passion for educational leadership and administration, spurring me to pursue my Masters in Educational Leadership and Administrative degree from Cardinal Stritch University. I served one year as the De Pere Middle School Vice Principal and learned a lot about what skills students need to leave the elementary level with to be successful academically, behaviorally, socially and emotionally in the middle grades. With a renewed passion and purpose for elementary education, I've been the Dickinson Elementary Principal since 2015-16.
